“Have a Godly Day.” It is Fred’s signature, and it’s how he lives his life. Fred’s personal faith and his respect of others guide his every interaction. Fred is recognized as a true pioneer in all phases of corporate communications. He and his business partner, Norm Baxter, established a design studio and “scene” in Houston in 1957 that, until then, was virtually non-existent. After serving as President and Chief Executive of Baxter + Korge, Inc. for 45 years, and then later joining Bates Southwest as President of the Corporate Design Group, Fred joined Savage as Corporate Design Director, and he continues to mentor young employees and give back to the community. He literally is a one-man United Way agency, donating his time and energy to young students in the field and to personal programs that shape his life. Fred has worked with clients such as Burger King, Coastal Bancorp, The Methodist Hospital, Sysco Corporation, University of St. Thomas and USAA. He was recently inducted into the American Advertising Federation/Southwest District Hall of Fame.
